Northbound travel for HK and Macao vehicle registrations exceeds 200,000

According to CCTV news, since the implementation of the “Northbound travel for Hong Kong vehicles” and “Northbound travel for Macau vehicles” policies, as of today (Jan. 9), the cumulative registration for both northbound vehicles has surpassed 200,000.

By the end of 2025, Gongbei Customs had monitored over 8.345 million entries and exits of single-license vehicles from Hong Kong and Macau through the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge Zhuhai Port. With the added effect of the “Southbound travel for Guangdong vehicles” policy, the daily traffic through the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge Zhuhai Port has reached 18,000 vehicles, making the vision of a “1-hour living circle” in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macau Greater Bay Area a reality.
