Nonstop flights to Hong Kong are coming back to Seattle on March 30.
Cathay Pacific will offer the flights five days a week, the airline announced Monday. It comes about five years after the airline cut the Seattle route in the midst of the pandemic.
From March 30 to May 31, passengers can take off from the Seattle-Tacoma International Airport at 11:50 a.m. or depart from Hong Kong at 1:30 p.m. local time.
From June 1 to Sept. 15, passengers will leave Seattle at 12:15 p.m. or depart from Hong Kong at 1:30 p.m. From Sept. 16 to Oct. 24, the flights will revert to their March-to-May schedules.
Passengers will be seated on an Airbus A350-900, the airline said. The airline noted that business-class customers will have “fully flat beds.”
Cathay Pacific is offering a special promotion for tickets. Until Oct. 22, customers can buy an economy-class ticket for less than $700, the airline said.
Seattle is Cathay Pacific’s ninth destination in North America, after the airline launched direct flight service at Dallas-Fort Worth in April. The airline’s summer schedule will include more than 110 flights per week, to Boston, Chicago, Los Angeles, New York, San Francisco, Toronto, Dallas-Fort Worth, Seattle and Vancouver, B.C.
