The NBA All-Star Celebrity Game is coming to Oakland, and once again, Oakland Arena will be a showcase site for some of the most famous entertainers in the world.
ESPN and the NBA jointly announced the rosters for the 2025 edition of the celebrity game Tuesday morning, and the two teams of celebrity players will face off in Oakland starting at 4 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 14.
Players with local connections include former 49ers receiver and NFL Hall of Famer Terrell Owens; former Golden State Warrior Matt Barnes, who won a title with the Warriors in 2017, and WWE superstar Bayley, a San Jose native.
Baron Davis, a legend from the “We Believe” Warriors era, will play in his second celebrity game. Golden State Valkyries forward Kayla Thornton, a recent pick from the WNBA expansion draft, will also take part in the game.
Other celebrities playing in the game include viral entertainer Druski, WNBA All-Star Allisha Gray of the Atlanta Dream, Grammy-nominated artists Noah Kahan, Shaboozey, Mickey Guyton and Tucker Halpern, basketball skills trainer Chris Brickley, Olympic track gold medalist Masai Russell, Olympic track silver medalist Shelby McEwen, Emmy-winning actor Rome Flynn, comedian and actor Ronny Chieng, star of Marvel Studios’ “Captain America: New World Order” Danny Ramirez, star of the drama series 9-1-1 Oliver Stark, actor Pablo Schrieber, and Canadian rapper and singer AP Dhillon.
Popular streamer Kai Cenat, Chinese actor and singer Dylan Wang and singer-songwriter Walker Hayes will return for their second celebrity game. The two celebrity teams will be coached by rapper 2 Chainz and 49ers legend Jerry Rice. Influencer Khaby Lame will serve as an assistant coach.
The 4-point line returns to the game for another year in the building where Stephen Curry revolutionized the NBA with his shooting proficiency from deep. New this year is the Ruffles Flamin’ Hot Challenge, a one-minute, relay-style shooting contest.
