WASHINGTON (TNND) — Elon Musk vowed to pay the legal fees of any of Jeffrey Epstein’s victims if they are hit with lawsuits for continuing to speak out against Epstein and his alleged clients.
“I will pay for the defense of anyone who speaks the truth about this and is sued for doing so,” Musk wrote.
Musk offered this up in response to conservative commentator Matt Walsh’s post in which he questioned why Epstein victims aren’t naming their alleged abusers publicly. His comment coincided with him sharing an advertisement featuring Epstein’s victims which aired during the Super Bowl. The ad called on Attorney General Pam Bondi “to tell the truth” of the Justice Department’s investigation into Epstein.
“I’m all for releasing the files. These women could also just name their abusers at any time. Instead they’ve embarked on a months-long publicity campaign which curiously didn’t start until the exact moment Biden left office,” Walsh wrote on X.
“They profess to know the names of child rapists in the most powerful positions in society yet they won’t tell us,” Walsh continued.
“They’ll even take out a Super Bowl ad while claiming to be silenced, even though they’re the ones refusing to give us the information they say they have.”
Walsh followed up in a comment debunking the concern that the women could be sued by saying they could just give the names of the abusers to members in Congress “who could read the names out loud from the floor, insulating themselves and these women from any litigation.”
Last month, the Justice Department released the remaining three million pages of documents from the Epstein files.
