New report says The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives has paused production amid investigation
The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives has halted the filming of its fifth season after Taylor Frankie Paul and her ex-boyfriend, Dakota Mortensen, made allegations of domestic violence against each other.
A source has confirmed to Variety that the show has temporarily stopped production as the Draper City Police Department in Utah investigates the matter and looks at both sides of the story after this recent incident. The incident reportedly took place when no one was filming.
Sources have further added that the production delay will not likely impact the release schedule. The show is expected to resume filming soon.
Moreover, Taylor Frankie Paul also stars in The Bachelorette Season 22 and is currently in New York City promoting the season ahead of a premiere event. This investigation is not expected to impact the release of The Bachelorette Season 22 either.
Interestingly, this is not the first incident involving Taylor Frankie Paul and Dakota Mortensen. The pair had a similar incident in the first season of The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives. At the time, Paul was arrested for allegedly hitting, choking, and throwing metal chairs at Mortensen. One of the chairs she threw hit one of her children from a previous relationship in the head. She pleaded guilty to aggravated assault.
Back then, this incident caused a production delay for the show.
More details about this incident should arrive soon.
