LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) – A Cup of Commonwealth coffee shop removed the board covering its front window after completing repairs following a Jan. 14 rock-throwing incident.
A woman police identified as Devona Mitchell is accused of throwing the rock through the window. It was the third time the shop’s window had been broken in the past two years.
Coffee shop staff say they’re excited to have the shop’s exterior back to normal.
“I’m glad that we just have it back. People are able to look out the window,” barista Kaitlyn Cooper said. “We’re hoping that we can get some new art on the window just like the old one had.”
Criminal case
Mitchell is facing a criminal mischief charge. Her case has been sent to a grand jury. She remains held in the Fayette County Jail.
