Lake Mills’ football team garnered 13 all-league selections, including seven first-team picks, in Capitol Conference football voting held recently.
L-Cats junior quarterback Tyler Wollin was voted Offensive Player of the Year and was a repeat first-team selection. He also garnered All-Region honors by the Wisconsin Football Coaches Association.
Wollin led the conference in nine categories, including touchdowns (39), passing touchdowns (38), passing yards (2,625) and passing yards per completion (17.9). He had a completion percentage of 62.6.
Lake Mills junior running back Kamden Tande-Habich, senior offensive lineman Levi Stark and senior kicker Brock Levake were also first-team picks in back-to-back seasons. Junior wide receiver Collin Christian, junior flex offensive player Jackson Roberts and senior defensive back Gibby Quandt also received first-team accolades.
Tande-Habich had the fourth-most rushing touchdowns (10) in the conference. He totaled 546 rushing yards, averaging 5.2 yards per carry, plus caught 10 passes for 234 yards with three TDs.
Stark manned the left guard spot, helping keep the pocket clean for Wollin while also helping enable the L-Cats to average 5.4 yards per rush. He was credited with a team-leading 33 pancake blocks.
Levake led the conference in extra points made, hitting all 48 of his attempts, and also went 4-for-5 on field goal tries.
Christian was second in the league in receiving yards (702) and tied for third in receiving TDs (six). He averaged 20.6 yards per reception.
Roberts was fourth in the conference in receiving yards (502). He had five TD grabs and averaged 20.1 yards per catch.
Quandt tied for the conference lead in both passes defended (seven) and interceptions (three).
Senior offensive lineman Josh Battist, Stark (defensive end) and junior Blake Bohlman (special teams) were second-team selections.
Lake Mills senior wide receiver Ethan Gliniecki, junior defensive end JP Brzowski and senior defensive back Mason Flood were honorable mention recipients.
Columbus won the Capitol Conference with a record of 6-0, followed by Lodi at 5-1, Lake Mills at 4-2, Clinton at 3-3, Turner at 2-4, Horicon/Hustisford at 1-5 and Big Foot at 0-6.
ACADEMIC ALL-STATE HONORS
Lake Mills had five players — Will Kirchberg, Nolan Kolkovich, Harrison Pitzner, Kaden Smolinski and Quandt — who received the WFCA Individual Academic All-State Award, which is reserved for senior letterwinners with a cumulative GPA of 3.75 or higher.
