In a flurry of social media posts, rapper Kanye West made explicit remarks about former Vice President Kamala Harris, posted what appears to be a conversation between himself and Elon Musk, and also highlighted the fact he only follows Taylor Swift on Instagram.

Newsweek reached out to West via his official Facebook page on Sunday, outside of regular business hours.

Why It Matters

Though he lost his billionaire status in 2022, West has recently indicated that it has been restored.

He has also been outspoken in his support for President Donald Trump.

What To Know

The 47-year-old rapper went on a posting spree on X, formerly Twitter, including one now-deleted post about Harris which read: “I used to want to f*** Kamala until she lost. I don’t f*** losers anymore.”

In an apparent reference to the deleted post, West said: “The Democrats made me take the loser post down. Naw I’m kidding. Dey don’t control Black people no more. Trump 4 life.”

In response to a screenshot of the post in question, West, who now goes by Ye, later wrote: “Kamala seems like a very nice human[.] I just wanna say sorry to her kids.”

West also posted what appeared to be a text conversation between himself and Elon Musk.

“You should post pictures and videos related to the products. That will be far more effective than just a URL,” Musk wrote.

“Thank you,” said West.

“I’m on it

“Will reactive when I get the product videos ready.”

Musk replied: “Anything cool and real works.”

Among a slew of posts from the rapper around the same time, was one which read: “Hey kids, Twitter is a great way to express yourself and crash three companies at once.”

Another read: “Trump’s back in office. Ye’s back a billionaire. The world might just be OK.”

Harris unsuccessfully ran against Trump in the 2024 presidential election. She served as vice president in the Joe Biden administration.

Ye Only Follows Taylor Swift on Instagram

The “Gold Digger” artist, who has over 20 million followers on Instagram, currently follows just one person on the social media site—Taylor Swift.

The pair have feuded on and off for years, following West’s interruption of Swift’s acceptance speech at the MTV Video Music Awards in 2009.

West amplified the fact that he only follows Swift on the platform with an X post—a screenshot of a news headline which read: “Taylor Swift is the only person Ye is following on IG [Instagram].”

What Happens Next

West announced last month that he is launching a women’s clothing line as part of his Yeezy fashion collection.
