Kamala Harris’ doctor releases her medical report with details about her lifestyle and diet

Harris' physician, Dr. Joshua R. Simmons, claimed in a letter that the Democratic nominee is in 'excellent health' and can stand the test of presidency if she were to be elected in November

Kamala Harris has been given a health brief by her doctor, who gave insights into the VP’s lifestyle and diet, ahead of the 2024 election

Harris’ physician, Dr. Joshua R. Simmons, claimed in a letter that the Democratic nominee is in ‘excellent health’ and can stand the test of presidency if she were to be elected in November.

‘She possesses the physical and mental resiliency required to successfully execute the duties of the Presidency, to include those as Chief Executive, Head of State, and Commander in Chief.’

He said the vice president, 59, maintains a good lifestyle, including ‘vigorous daily aerobic exercise and core strength training’ and eats a ‘very healthy diet.’

The politician also forgoes the use of tobacco and only drinks ‘occasionally and in moderation.’

As for physical ailments, Harris suffers from nearsightedness, which is corrected with contact lenses, allergies, and urticaria, also known as hives. Her allergies and hives are controlled through over-the-counter medication, including Allegra, and allergen immunotherapy, which she’s done for three years, according to Simmons.

The only notable blimp on her health record her family history of colon cancer on her mother’s side, but Simmons assured that the VP was up-to-date on her colonoscopy results, as well as, mammograms.

‘She has no personal history of diabetes, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, cardiac disease, pulmonary disease, neurological disorders, cancer, or osteoporosis,’ Simmons wrote.

The only surgery the Democrat has had was a laparotomy that was performed to remove her appendix at age three due to intussusception, which is a condition where part of the intestines, typically the small, slides into an adjacent part of the gastrointestinal tract.

The only medication that is listed for Harris was a Vitamin D3 supplement for ‘skeletal health,’ as she has a deficiency, her bloodwork showed.

The rest of Harris’ bloodwork came back ‘unremarkable,’ as well as her electrocardiogram, also known as an ECG, which came back normal.

Her last physical was performed in April 2024 by Simmons, who has been her primary care physician since she took the VP office 3.5 years ago.

The last time Trump updated Americans on his overall health status was in November on President Joe Biden’s birthday, where the Republican’s doctor boasted he was in ‘excellent’ health in a letter.

The letter, posted on Trump’s social media platform, contained no details to support its claims — measures like weight, blood pressure and cholesterol levels, or the results of any test.

Trump’s doctor also gave an update on his health after the July assassination attempt, during which the 78-year-old sustained an ear injury.

Trump has eagerly questioned Biden’s health when the 81-year-old president was seeking reelection. Since Biden was replaced on the ticket with Harris, Trump’s own health has drawn more attention.
