Jimmy Kimmel Reacts to Trump Appearing ‘More Than a Million Times’ in Epstein Files

Jimmy Kimmel and Donald Trump have had their public issues with one another over the past year, and recently, Kimmel reacted to Trump’s name appearing inside the recently released Epstein files.

During one of the latest episodes of his Jimmy Kimmel Live! late night talk show, Kimmel spoke about Trump at length. He talked about how Trump was having a “code orange de-mental emergency” over Trump’s anger about the Gordie Howe international bridge, built between Windsor, Ontario and Detroit, Michigan. Trump said the bridge was built without any consent from the U.S., but Kimmel says he’s simply using that to distract his followers from a real issue.

“And of course, all of this, every bit of this, is an effort to distract us,” said Kimmel, before bringing up representative James Raskin’s review of the unredacted Epstein files. “Donald Trump’s name appears more than a million times. Which is a lot, there’s only three million pages in the whole…that’s more than Harry Potter gets mentioned in all seven Harry Potter books.”

Kimmel continued his talk about the Epstein files, the majority of which were released over the past two months by the Department of Justice. Trump’s inclusion in them have been a large point of contention due to their potential implications. Kimmel didn’t save his criticism just for Trump, though, and noted that Republicans as a whole have been surprisingly nonchalant in their reactions to the files.

“Can you imagine how ignorant these people are, screaming about pedophiles and rapists while members of their own party seem to be doing everything they can to protect the pedophiles and the rapists in the Epstein files?” asked Kimmel.
