Kamimura, 26, was previously a member of the six-member group ONE N’ ONLY. He pleaded not guilty in April and chose not to testify during the trial in July.
The victim, identified as X, testified in July that she was hired to interpret for Kamimura and fellow actor Junsei Motojima during a fan meeting on March 1. Afterwards, the group attended a celebratory dinner in Mong Kok.
X testified that Kamimura sat beside her during a toast, touched her thigh, suggested they go to the bathroom, and later brushed her inner thigh several times.
Magistrate Peter Yu said Kamimura’s behavior showed obvious disrespect towards women, noting that his touches suggested a sexual undertone, fining him HK$15,000 ($1,923) after his lawyer in mitigation urged a financial penalty rather than jail.
