Dumfries leaves the Netherlands and returns to Inter
Netherlands head coach Ronald Koeman confirmed on Thursday that Dumfries was a doubt for his nation’s World Cup qualifier against Poland on Friday evening, and that he had been due to discuss the situation with his medical staff later in the day.
Now, according to reports from Sky Sport Italia and La Gazzetta dello Sport, Dumfries is set to leave the Netherlands camp and return to Milan on precautionary grounds. The Dutchman is expected to be back at his club’s training ground on Saturday.

According to Sky Sport Italia, Dumfries has been struggling with pain in his left ankle after a knock in training on Tuesday.
There is, however, optimism that the Inter wing-back should be available in time to face Milan in Serie A next Saturday, though.
