Nude Lifestyle Kitchen on Dale Street, Liverpool
Working in an office in Liverpool city centre, it’s easy to become stuck on the mundane meal deal train. I’ve found myself switching from bog-standard sandwich to bog-standard sandwich from one day to the next, making lunch feel that little less exciting as the days roll on.
I’ve already shared how local cafes such as Bean and Out to Lunch have never let me down and have become faithful go-to spots when I fancy something a bit more exciting than something sitting on the supermarket shelf.
In need of a shake-up, I decided to venture out and see what town has to offer and came across Nude Liverpool on Dale Street. The takeaway and cafe has a delicious-sounding menu of health conscious meals and drinks.
From Acai Bowls to smashed avocado on sourdough toast, Nude Liverpool has a selection of breakfasts, wraps, wellness smoothies, Matchas and teas, coffees and more.
I went for one of their salt and pepper wraps, made up of flavoured chicken breast, halloumi, red peppers, red onion,and spinach, served grilled on a Arabic flatbread.
I decided to wash it all down with a ‘blue wave’ smoothie with banana, mango, pineapple, blue spirulina, and coconut milk, which is said to be anti-inflammatory.
I only waited around five minutes for my order to be cooked up which was spot on. I was then handed my wrap in a box and smoothie, which looked absolutely mad.
The swirls of blues, greens and whites looked like a Van Gogh painting thrown into a cup. I gave it a swig and was hit with the soothing taste of coconut, delicious.
The wrap was the perfect size for lunch. Not overcrammed to the point it becomes a challenge to eat, but not too small that you’d be left after more.
It had the perfect amount of salt and pepper flavour, and the halloumi gave it that distinct salty taste that was a nice boost to the meal.
The total came to £13, but I went for some of the pricier options on the menu. I’ll definitely be visiting again soon.
