Hurun Global Rich List 2025: The Hurun Global Rich List for 2025 is out and Tesla-SpaceX owner Elon Musk has retained his number one spot. Meanwhile, Indian billionaire Mukesh Ambani has slipped out of the top 10. Notably, he still retains the top spot in Asia.
In the overall rankings, Silicon Valley tech juggernauts Elon Musk, Jeff Bezos, Mark Zuckerberg, and Larry Ellison took top four of the five spots, with beloved investor Warren Buffett rounding off the top five. Notably, the majority top 10 comprised American businessmen and investors including long-time rich list resident Bill Gates.
Hurun Global Rich List 2025: Top 10
Silicon Valley billionaires dominated the top 10, with Americans businessmen taking up nine spots on the chart with the exception of French fashion conglomerate LVMH owner Bernard Arnault.
For Elon Musk, he has managed to retain the top spot despite trouble with sales numbers and share price amid protest against his political involvement with the Donald Trump administration. Elon Musk has undertaken cuts to federal spending and directed mass layoffs, which has led to protests against his companies, including Tesla.
Richie-Rich and Wealth Generation
According to the Hurun 2025 report, the top 10 of the Hurun Global Rich List added as much as $512 billion wealth during the year. This is 30 per cent of all the new wealth generated, they also comprise 12 per cent of the wealth held by the total Hurun Global Rich List 2025.
Notably, the wealth held by these top 10 moguls has nearly doubled every five years, from $36 billion around 10 years back to $143 billion in 2025.
