Hot off the heels of two short weeks brimming with stellar play, the 2025-2026 Premier League season swings back into action, headlined by Burnley’s home clash with Fulham at Turf Moor. Footy fans can catch all the pitch-perfect play from that clash and nine others across NBC, NBCSN, Peacock, USA Network, and NBC.com.

Last week was all about heat. While Emiliano Buendia’s 95th-minute goal torched Arsenal, Mohamed Salah’s fiery post-match interview, slamming both Arne Slot and Liverpool, has definitively cranked up the temperature at Anfield, potentially expediting the Egyptian talisman’s departure from those hallowed grounds. Chelsea is also feeling the heat after enduring a scoreless draw with AFC Bournemouth to push them down the table, as is Sunderland, who were blanked 3-0 by Manchester City. Still, as hot as it’s getting in His Majesty’s top flight, some sides continue to fan the flames of relegation with West Ham, Burnley, and the woeful Wolves cementing themselves in the dregs of the league.

But that was last round, so clubs have plenty of time to pump the brakes… right? Well, when only five points separate fifth place from 13th, a cramped table means anything can happen, like Leeds scoring three on the Reds while they returned the favor. But before we dive into match storylines, here’s a look at the Premier League Matchweek 16 fixtures ahead.

Storylines for Premier League Matchweek 16

Chelsea hosts Everton at Stamford in a Top 5 contest, where the Blues desperately need to capitalize from a home-field advantage if they still hope to compete for a title. The Reds are a different story. The fallout from Mohamed Salah’s scathing rebuke of Arne Slot and company has turned Anfield into a powder keg. Lose to Brighton at home this week, and the fuse is officially lit.

Peacock passes the torch to NBC for Burnley vs. Fulham at 12:30 p.m. ET. Perhaps the Clarets’ most important match to date this season, Burnley must seize the opportunity to bank three points. Otherwise, dropping their seventh in a row will seal their fate to the relegation-bound Wolves, who’ll face a ferocious Arsenal side, thirsty to draw blood.

Sunday kicks off with Peacock hosting the highly anticipated contest between Crystal Palace and Man City. Now a bona fide rivalry, the Eagles heroically won their first major trophy after defeating the Citizens in FA Cup back in May. Also at 9 a.m. ET, Sunderland hosts Newcastle, the Spurs visit Forest, and West Ham clashes with a fully-activated Aston Villa side. Then at 11:30 a.m. ET, Brentford, who’ve won nine of their last 11 league matches at home, look to continue their excellent record at Gtech stadium when they host Leeds.

A Monday encore sees Manchester United host Bournemouth at Old Trafford. Now even with Chelsea after thrashing the Wolves 4-1 on Monday, Ruben Amorim’s side faces a tougher task ahead, but how tough is all up to the visitors. In 13th place, the Cherries have come up short in their last six matches, yet only five points separate them from the Red Devils.

Be sure to check out NBC, USA Network, and Peacock all season long to catch the biggest matches in the English Premier League!
