Hong Kong authorities arrest 2 Physical gym directors over alleged unfair trade

Two directors of Hong Kong gym chain Physical have been arrested on suspicion of unfair trade practices, sources have said.

The Post learned that Luk Ngai-keung was taken into custody after surrendering to customs, while his wife, Ho Yuk-wah, was apprehended police and customs officers raided her home on Wednesday morning.

Customs and police officers have launched a citywide manhunt for other people involved in the case.

The city’s consumer watchdog revealed that the biggest case involved a contract which would only take effect in 2037, with payments for more than 1,900 classes amounting to HK$1.86 million (US$238,549).

Luk, accompanied by his lawyer, surrendered himself at the customs headquarters in North Point on Tuesday afternoon, according to the source.
