General Hospital Fans Rejoice After Chase’s Demotion

In General Hospital’s Thursday episode, Chase gets demoted as a result of misusing his detective privileges. Following his reckless actions in the last couple of months, viewers believe that he had it coming. Now, fans have taken to social media to celebrate the detective’s fall.

Here’s what the fans are saying online.

General Hospital fans are happy with Dante demoting Chase

Ever since Willow became the main suspect for shooting Drew, Chase declared to help prove his ex-lover’s innocence. His actions put strain on his marriage and affected his career as well. Then, after the video evidence against Willow went missing during the trial, he became a suspect of deleting the video.

In the January 22 episode, Dante reveals to Chase that Internal Affairs has finished its investigation into him. While they didn’t find any sign of corruption, they demoted him back to being a patrol cop. Chase can choose to either continue to work as a beat cop or resign from the job altogether.

Now, viewers who wanted Chase to face the consequences of his actions are celebrating his demotion. One fan took to the show’s Facebook page to discuss the matter. They wrote, “He’s Demoted. Chase went to the PCPD for decision made by internal affairs on his suspension.

Dante told him, they have completed their investigations and there was no sign of corruption or fraud, but he was demoted to be a beat cop.

He was not pleased with their  decision, but he has to pay the price for his stupidity.”

The post has gone viral, and other fans have since joined in on the conversation. One fan wrote, “He did it to himself.” Meanwhile, a second fan hoped, “I was hoping Chase would end up being fired, but I’m fine with him being demoted to patrol for right now because he’s going to get what’s coming to him.”

Some fans pointed out that Chase is blaming Dante for a decision that he didn’t make. A user said, “He also needs to realize that this was not Dante’s decision.” Another questioned, “Why is he blaming Dante? It was IA who made the decision.”

Many viewers are anticipating the day when Chase learns that Willow did, in fact, shoot Drew. “I’m waiting to see Chase eat his words when he finds out what kind of a person lovely lady Willow is,” said one fan.
