György Nemes
Nemes arrived in Madrid in 1950 after standing out at Racing Santander, but once in white, an operated stomach ulcer and a broken leg clipped the wings of this Hungarian international forward.
Emilio Morollón
Morollón played one match, scored one goal, and that was that. He would go on to become the all‑time leading scorer in Real Valladolid’s history, as well as a Spanish international.
Eugenio Moriones
Eugenio Moriones played just one game – a 5–1 defeat for Madrid – in the 1929-30 league season. He was later executed in Paracuellos during the Spanish Civil War.
Julen Lopetegui
Lopetegui had his moment of glory between the posts for Madrid on April 28, 1990, against city rivals Atletico Madrid. His only first‑team appearance turned into a thriller – 3-3 derby draw at the Estadio Vicente Calderon.
Fernando
Fernando Miguel Fernández Escribano, known simply as ‘Fernando,’ went on to serve as Manuel Pellegrini’s assistant at Real Betis. The Málaga‑born midfielder’s sole Madrid appearance came in 2000, away to Real Zaragoza. He later built a solid career at Valladolid, Betis, and Málaga.
Marcos Tébar
Tébar made his debut on the final matchday of the 2008-09 season, under Juande Ramos in an away game against Osasuna. That would remain his lone run-out for Los Blancos, despite spending four years moving between the reserve team and the first‑team setup.
Pedro Mosquera
Mosquera debuted in March 2010, in a league match against Getafe. After that, he played for Getafe, Elche, Deportivo La Coruña, Huesca, and AD Alcorcón.
Marcos Alonso
Marcos Alonso followed in the footsteps of his grandfather, Marquitos, but managed only one appearance, in the 2009-10 season, at Real Santander. He was transferred to Bolton at the end of that campaign and later blossomed at Fiorentina and Chelsea, eventually becoming a Spanish international. After two seasons with Barcelona, he currently plays for Celta Vigo.
Juankar
“The Greyhound of Boadilla” made his debut against Deportivo La Coruña with nine lively minutes in which he kept defender Manuel Pablo busy. He later forged his career at Málaga and Panathinaikos, and now plays for Aris Thessaloniki.
Pablo Sarabia
The Madrid‑born midfielder debuted with an 18‑minute Champions League appearance in 2010 against Auxerre. He currently plays for Wolverhampton Wanderers.
Fabinho
The Brazilian midfielder had a brief spell at Real Madrid, making a single LaLiga appearance in 2013 against Málaga. That same year he left the club for Monaco, where he spent five seasons. In 2018 he signed for Liverpool, with whom he played five seasons before moving to Al Ittihad in the Saudi Pro League.
Omar Mascarell
Wearing the No. 39 shirt, the Canary Islander played his only Madrid match against Osasuna in June 2013, as a substitute for Mesut Özil. Madrid sold him (twice) to German clubs: first to Eintracht Frankfurt and later to Schalke. After a stint at Elche, he currently plays for Mallorca.
Willian José
Willian’s only 21 minutes for Real Madrid came in May 2014 against Celta Vigo in LaLiga. He has since played for several clubs, including Real Zaragoza, Real Sociedad, Wolverhampton, and Real Betis. He now plays for E.C. Bahia after a brief spell in Russia.
Enzo Zidane
At 21 years old, Zinedine Zidane’s eldest son made his appearance in November 2016 against Cultural Leonesa in the Copa del Rey, joining the list of players with a single match for Real Madrid.
Luismi Quezada
Luismi Quezada was the first Dominican footballer ever to play a match for Real Madrid. He did so in the Copa del Rey in 2017 against Fuenlabrada. He currently plays for Cibao FC in the Dominican Football League.
