This victory propelled Zamalek to the top of the Egyptian Premier League standings with 40 points, three clear of direct rivals Pyramids FC, and ahead of Al Ahly and Ceramica.
Hossam Abdelmaguid netted the game’s only goal from the penalty spot in the 60th minute. Before this triumph, Zamalek hadn’t managed to beat Pyramids FC in the league since 2022. Under interim coach Moatamed Gamal, the White Knights celebrated their seventh consecutive league win, underlining their credentials as genuine title contenders.
