Earth Season 2 Adds Major Game of Thrones Star to Cast

Alien: Earth Season 2’s cast is growing, adding a massive star best known for the Game of Thrones franchise to the highly anticipated next season of the FX series.

Who has joined the cast of Alien: Earth Season 2?

According to a recent report from Deadline, Peter Dinklage is set to join the cast of Alien: Earth for its upcoming second season. The actor, best known for his role as Tyrion Lannister in Game of Thrones, joins the show in a yet-to-be-revealed role.

Other casting news for Season 2 is unknown as of now, but Deadline notes that production on the new season is set to begin in May, so we may know more information soon. Dinklage joins a cast that is led by Sydney Chandler, with other Season 1 stars including Alex Lawther, Timothy Olyphant, Essie Davis, Samuel Blenkin, Babou Ceesay, David Rysdahl, Adrian Edmondson, Adarsh Gourav, Jonathan Ajayi, Erana James, Lily Newmark, Diem Camille and Moe Bar-El.

Dinklage has had a busy time after his time on Game of Thrones. Most recently, Dinklage starred in the 2025 film Roofman, as well in 2024’s Wicked and Brothers. He’ll next star in the upcoming comedy Idiots, as well as the romantic fantasy movie Wicker.

Originally premiering in 2025, Alien: Earth is an eight-episode series from creator Noah Hawley. The series is set two years before the events of the first Alien movie, and follows a young hybrid woman named Wendy who leads an investigation party onto the USCSS Maginot, which has crash-landed on Earth. The series was praised upon its premiere, holding a 94% rating on Rotten Tomatoes.
