Tiger Woods was arrested for driving under the influence after a car crash in Florida yesterday, according to officials.
Woods and the other driver involved in this two-car collision were uninjured. Woods was subsequently released from the Martin County Jail on Friday night. His breathalyser test registered a 0.00 according to the police. However, deputies determined Woods was impaired and said he did not submit to a urine test.

This is the latest in a series of driving-related incidents relating to Woods. In 2021, Woods was in danger of losing his leg after a rollover crash in Los Angeles, which required him to undergo a number of surgeries.
He was aiming to return to The Masters this year, and made his first competitive appearance since a back surgery in 2025 this week at the TGL final.

President Donald Trump shares a close relationship with Woods. Woods is married to Trump’s former daughter-in-law, Vanessa Trump, and he awarded Woods the Presidential Medal of Freedom in 2019.

He was asked to comment on the news of Woods’ recent crash, and he said, “I feel so badly. He’s got some difficulties. There was an accident, and that’s all I know. A very close friend of mine, he’s an amazing person, an amazing man, but some difficulties.”
Trump recently made news by commenting on the potential of Woods’ Masters return. He appeared to have some inside information on the matter.
He said yesterday, “I love Tiger, but he won’t be there. He’ll be there. He’ll be there, but he won’t be playing in it.”
And clearly, after this incident, the likelihood of Woods teeing off at Augusta in a few weeks’ time has been severely reduced.
