A Cornish coffee shop and roastery has been shortlisted among the very best in the UK.
Dark Pony Coffee in Falmouth is the only café in Cornwall or Devon to be recognised in the 44-strong list of Best Coffee Shops in the UK this year.
Judged on its quality of coffee, barista experience, innovation and consistency, ambiance, atmosphere, sustainability and customer service, Dark Pony was selected for its dedication to excellence in the UK’s Speciality Coffee Scene.
And the business will now be considered for an even bigger honour – a spot in the World’s 100 best coffee shops, set to be announced on February 16.
Co-owner Mael Suerinck-Manavella said: “We are incredibly proud to represent Falmouth and Cornwall on this list.
“Our vision for Dark Pony has always been to make the world of specialty coffee fun and inclusive to all while showcasing the passion that got us here in the first place, so to be recognised amongst some of the fantastic coffee shops on this list is a great honour.”
Dark Pony is made up of a small team of people with “a passion for coffee” – sourcing, roasting, packaging and distributing from its roastery and coffee shop at 6 The Moor, Falmouth.
