Columbia Fashion Week and Goodwill Industries of Upstate/Midlands South Carolina are once again partnering for Thrift the Runway: Threads of Change, a free fashion event.
The event hopes to bring attention to sustainability, creativity, and the power of second chances. This year’s fashion show will be held on Saturday, June 28 from 12 to 2 p.m. at the Lexington location of Goodwill (4708 Sunset Blvd.)
The unique fashion show is styled entirely with thrifted pieces from local Goodwill’s by the Columbia Fashion Week style team, and will highlight how reused and repurposed clothing can be transformed into stylish and thoughtful looks.
“Thrift the Runway is more than just a fashion show—it’s a community moment,” said Juliette Muller, CEO of Columbia Fashion Week. “We’re using style to start conversations—about sustainability, about supporting our neighbors, and about seeing potential where others might not. We’re honored to collaborate with Goodwill to bring that vision to life.”
The event is free and open for the public to come support local talent, learn more about sustainable fashion and the work Goodwill does across the region.
“At Goodwill, we empower thousands of South Carolinians each year to see value in themselves and their communities,” said Chunsta Miller, Goodwill’s Vice President of Communication & Public Engagement. “This event is another way we hope to inspire our neighbors and help them feel their best so they can do their best in all aspects of their lives.”
