Colman Domingo’s Hit Netflix Series Returns for Season 2 Very Soon

The Four Seasons Season 2 streams on Netflix in May

The Four Seasons Season 2 will land on Netflix on Thursday, May 28, 2026 (via What’s on Netflix). The trailer for the second installment is expected to arrive in the coming weeks. However, the streamer has released a few stills from its latest season, which you can see here.

The story follows three middle-aged couples, a group of long-time friends who vacation together every season. The dynamics of the group go up in smoke when one couple divorces and the husband brings along a younger woman he’s dating on their trip. Season 2 will continue after the cliffhanger moment from the previous season’s finale.

The series is an adaptation of Alan Alda’s 1981 film of the same name. 10-time Emmy-winner Tina Fey co-created the Netflix series with Lang Fisher and Tracey Wigfield. All three have previously collaborated on the iconic NBC sitcom, 30 Rock. Individually, Fey created hits like Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt and contributed to SNL for nearly 25 years.

The Four Seasons’ cast includes Fey as Kate, Colman Domingo as Danny, Steve Carell as Nick, Will Forte as Jack, Kerri Kenney-Silver as Anne, Marco Calvani as Claude, and Erika Henningsen as Ginny, among others. Meanwhile, Steven Pasquale is the new addition to the upcoming installment.

Fey co-produced the show under her production company, Little Stranger Inc. The first season aired on the streaming giant’s platform on May 1, 2025, with all eight episodes. Season 2 is expected to feature the same number of episodes.

The Four Seasons has been popular among Netflix’s subscribers. It reportedly ranked second on the streamer’s top charts within a few days of its release (via Showlabs). In terms of ratings, it holds a Tomatometer score of 78% and a Popcornmeter score of 63% on Rotten Tomatoes. Additionally, Domingo received an Emmy nomination in the Supporting Actor category.
