15 years ago, Charlie Sheen was fired from Two and a Half Men after entering drug rehabilitation and making disparaging comments about creator Chuck Lorre. Recently, the actor looked back at where he stands with long-term co-star Jon Cryer after his rehab stint.
What Charlie Sheen said about Jon Cryer
Charlie Sheen had practically destroyed his career with substance abuse while he was on Two and a Half Men. This negatively affected his professional and personal relationships as well.
During his recent appearance on his father’s The Martin Sheen Podcast, Charlie Sheen answered a question about his standing with Jon Cryer, his famous co-star from Two and a Half Men.
“How are you and Jon?” Sheen’s father, Martin Sheen, asked. Charlie answered, “I think we’re good.” But he elaborated, “I mean, we don’t really hang out or talk, but I love that he showed up for the doc.”
Cryer appeared on the 2025 Netflix documentary Aka Charlie Sheen. On it, he spoke about the Two and a Half Men star. Charlie Sheen seemingly appreciated the honesty and compassion Cryer spoke with in the documentary. “When I saw everything that Jon spoke about, so honestly and very compassionately, I wrote to him and I said, ‘Hey, thank you for your contributions, and I’m sorry we didn’t connect personally. I hope to see you around the campus,” he revealed to PEOPLE earlier.
Sheen continued about Cryer in the podcast, “I thought that was super generous, I mean, he’s still taking shots. He’s still taking shots in the doc.” But he insisted that the criticism did not really bother him. “I’ve weathered worse,” he added.
