SYRACUSE, N.Y. — This weekend has been hot and humid so far, but our weather pattern will be changing on Sunday, changing again by the middle of next week, then changing a third time by next weekend.

Here is the latest “cone of uncertainty” and projected path in the coming days put out by the National Hurricane Center:
As of now it appears that the storm will miss a direct impact landfall with the United States between now and next week. This forecast can and may change as new computer model data comes in so please check back for updates on the hurricane this weekend and next week.

Notice the yellow and green colors across the Central and Western Great Lakes. This is a cooler air mass that’s behind a cold front for Sunday night, Monday, Monday night and the middle of next week.
There were some areas of rain and thunder to our west on Saturday which will come through Central New York Sunday, but in a weaker state more hit or miss with downpours and thunder.
