Celebrities at the Venice Film Festival Closing Ceremony

Jury member Zhao Tao attends the 2025 Closing Ceremony red carpet during the 82nd Venice International Film Festival, Louis Vuitton

The Venice Film Festival wrapped on Saturday, and while the awards crowned the best in cinema, the closing ceremony was its own kind of finale — a last chance for fashion to take a bow.

Soft Structured Grace

Jury member Zhao Tao ended her duties in Louis Vuitton, and it was pure elegance. The grey silk georgette gown with its sculpted shoulders and asymmetric cape felt powerful. Paired with Cartier jewels, she carried the kind of presence that makes you stop and pay attention — an exit worthy of her jury role.

Cocktail Hour Energy

In Prada, Benedetta Porcaroli veered too casual for me. The Pomellato jewels added polish, but overall, it read more dinner party than film festival closer.

Vuitton Layers
Julia Ducournau’s Louis Vuitton moment could have been fussy with all those frills, but the embellished top provided some balance. Silver LV sandals, the Petite Malle clutch, and sparkling white-gold Louis Vuitton High Jewelry completed her look.

Half Good. Half Meh

Alessandra Ambrosio’s custom Elisabetta Franchi gown started so strong — shimmering micro beads and crystals that caught the light beautifully. But then came the feathered slit skirt and train, which dragged it into dated territory.

Signature Sparkle

As godmother of the festival, Emanuela Fanelli bookended things perfectly, once again in an embellished Giorgio Armani. Paired with Cartier, her Venice experience was consistent and celebratory.

Sleek Simplicity

The Taiwanese singer and actress 9M88 chose a Chanel Pre-Fall 2025 black satin slip with lace panels that was unfussy, modern, and quietly chic. I half-expected her to push for something edgier, but instead she read the room opting for effortless ease.

Not the loudest closing ceremony we’ve ever seen, but it gave us variety — from Zhao Tao’s commanding Vuitton to 9M88’s stripped-back Chanel. Venice, you’ll be missed.
