Here is a stye roundup from Monday’s The Fantastic Four: First Steps LA premiere, where Marvel stars and guests brought bold tailoring, playful prints and unexpected fashion moments.
Not his final form
Joseph Quinn should’ve ended on a high; after all, he had been carrying the menswear throughout this press tour. However, this Givenchy by Sarah Burton ivory notch-lapel jacket, ivory silk shirt, and grey crumpled trousers combination didn’t quite deliver as we’ve seen on the rest of the tour.

Those trousers, in particular, felt like a mismatch for someone who’s been serving razor-sharp tailoring from the start.

A smooth crossover
Simu Liu gave us an unexpected MCU crossover and a menswear upgrade, looking sharp in a Dolce & Gabbana pinstripe double-breasted Sicilia-fit suit with a black satin shirt and Chelsea boots. This look had just the right mix of edge and elegance. No notes.

No overcoat, no problem
Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, who’s stepping into the MCU as Simon Williams / Wonder Man, went without his signature outerwear but stayed true to his sleek style in a black double-breasted Fendi suit with subtle sparkle on the lapels. Understated, but effortlessly suave.

Shades of noir
Ebon Moss-Bachrach kept it classic in a clean black suit, proving that when the tailoring’s right, you don’t need bells and whistles. Tonal dressing at its most effective.

A peplum plot twist
Sarah Niles continued her run of unexpected silhouettes in a lime green look by Maximilian Raynor. The sculptural skirt was certainly bold, but the shape and fit wasn’t quite doing her any favours. That said, she’s always a standout when it comes to taking risks.

Wild thing
Skai Jackson’s patchwork animal print chiffon dress had a distinct Cavalli energy, and it worked. Playful, fluid, and full of personality.

Mismatch
Lucy Qiu’s The Mannei ivory blazer dress was an elegant choice, but the accessories felt off. Black tights and Mary Jane pumps weighed it down, while the gold Mark Cross crossbody bag clashed with the rest of the vibe. The foundation was strong, but the styling needed a complete rethink.
Styled by Peiwen Wang.
