Cardi B is no stranger to an eccentric Paris Fashion Week look. She’s stepped out in bedazzled balaclavas, floral face masks, and explosions of feathers. This year, she accessorized with feathers again, showing up to the Schiaparelli fall 2025 couture show with a real live bird on her arm.
The rapper brought the drama to Monday’s show with a sculptural look, wearing a figure-hugging black gown topped off with a pearl-adorned fringe construction. On her black-gloved hand, she carried a large black bird. Though widely reported to be a crow, as an amateur bird-watcher, I strongly suspect it is in fact a rook, a member of the crow family native to Europe.
What an impressive plus-one. And also a well-timed one, considering Cardi recently deleted all the photos of her apparent boyfriend, Stefon Diggs, from her Instagram, sparking rumors that they’ve broken up two months after taking their relationship public. It sounds like she and her large-beaked escort got along great. “I’m not scared of the bird,” she told WWD. “That’s my friend! I control him; we’re best friends.” Maybe the paps will catch them exchanging small twigs and berries soon.
