The movie was one of several that Willis took part in during the back half of his career. Willis starred in a handful of low-budget films from 2018-22. The synopsis for the movie reads, “Bank manager Jacob blames himself when his coworker is killed in a violent heist by a masked gunman in tactical gear. He teams up with his ex-cop neighbor, James, to find the thief before his next heist, but the highly trained thief catches on and levels the playing field by taking Jacob’s wife and daughter.”
Reprisal was directed by Brian A. Miller, from a script written by Bryce Hammons. Alongside Willis and Grillo, Reprisal also stars Johnathon Schaech and Olivia Culpo. The film is produced by Randall Emmett, George Furla, and Mark Stewart.
Following its release in 2018, Reprisal has grossed just over $590,000. The film holds an 8% on Rotten Tomatoes, with critics and audiences alike scoring the movie relatively low.
