TODAY ABOUT THIS? WELL, MIKE, KRISTEN, WE KNOW FROM LOCAL POLICE THIS CASE IS NOW BEING HANDLED BY THE UNITED STATES CAPITOL POLICE. ACCORDING TO CARNEGIE POLICE, THE THREAT CAME VIA EMAIL JUST BEFORE 3 P.M. ALLEGHENY COUNTY POLICE GAVE THE ALL CLEAR AT THE CARNEGIE OFFICE. A COUPLE OF HOURS LATER, CONGRESSMAN CHRIS DELUZIO EAST CARNEGIE DISTRICT OFFICE WAS SURROUNDED BY LAW ENFORCEMENT FRIDAY AFTERNOON. THE U.S. REPRESENTATIVE STAFF CONFIRMED TO PITTSBURGH’S ACTION NEWS FOUR. THE NORTH BELL AVENUE LOCATION AND HIS BEAVER COUNTY OFFICE IN CENTER TOWNSHIP WERE THE TARGETS OF BOMB THREATS. STAFF WAS SAFELY EVACUATED. THAT’S WHAT MORAL CLARITY AND LEADERSHIP REQUIRES. YOU CONDEMN POLITICAL VIOLENCE, NO EXCEPTIONS. THAT MESSAGE FROM DELUZIO THURSDAY NIGHT WAS IN RESPONSE TO A SERIES OF SOCIAL MEDIA POSTS BY PRESIDENT DONALD TRUMP AIMED AT THE WESTERN PA REPRESENTATIVE AND FIVE OTHER LAWMAKERS. THE GROUP OF SIX DEMOCRATS POSTED A VIDEO STATEMENT TO SOCIAL MEDIA THIS WEEK, DIRECTING SERVICE MEMBERS TO REFUSE ILLEGAL ORDERS. YOU MUST REFUSE ILLEGAL ORDERS. THE PRESIDENT RESPONDED TO THE VIDEO ON SOCIAL MEDIA, SAYING THE ACTIONS WERE, QUOTE, PUNISHABLE BY DEATH. ANOTHER POST SUGGESTED THE LAWMAKERS SHOULD BE ARRESTED AND PUT ON TRIAL. EVERY ELECTED OFFICIAL, NO MATTER THEIR PARTY, SHOULD BE CONDEMNING AND CONDEMNING CLEARLY WHAT THE PRESIDENT HAS CALLED FOR HERE. VIOLENCE AGAINST ME AND OTHERS. IN A STATEMENT TO PITTSBURGH’S ACTION NEWS FOUR PRIOR TO FRIDAY’S BOMB THREATS, REPUBLICAN CONGRESSMAN GUY RESCHENTHALER, WHO REPRESENTS THE 14TH DISTRICT, SAID, QUOTE, PRESIDENT TRUMP IS RIGHTFULLY TAKING THE FIGHT TO FOREIGN DRUG CARTELS THAT FUNNEL ILLICIT DRUGS INTO OUR TOWNS AND KILL OUR FRIENDS, FAMILIES AND NEIGHBORS. Chris Deluzio in Carnegie and Beaver County were targeted by bomb threats Friday, a spokesperson for the Democratic congressman said.Deluzio and all congressional staff are safe, spokesperson Zoe Bluffstone said.Pittsburgh’s Action News 4 video showed a large police presence that included state troopers and local officers outside Deluzio’s office at the Carnegie Office Park on Bell Avenue.
