Beyonce, Michael Jordan and more

Celebs sell more than a product: they sell an image. Drinks are social, aspirational and tied to lifestyle: making them a perfect fit for celebrity influence.

Celebs already have massive platforms and huge followings: providing their brands with free advertising and instant credibility – a huge advantage in a crowded market.

George Clooney’s success with Casamigos – the tequila brand he co-founded in 2013 – heralded in an age of celebrity beverage brands (the actor ultimately sold his brand to Constellation Brands in a $1bn deal).

Today, many more celebs are lending their style to brands across the beverage industry, from tequila to soda and from whiskey to gin.

Ben Stiller: Stiller’s Soda

Ben Stiller entered the beverage category in 2025 with Stiller’s Soda: a new brand for the ‘everyman’ consumer.

Making its debut in the actor’s hometown of New York City, the brand is described as ‘a love letter to soda’s golden age – with none of the weird stuff’. It has the iconic soda taste, look and feel; but with real, low sugar and natural ingredients, coming in at 30 calories and 7g sugar. Each can also contains essential nutrients and vitamins, including B12, C and D.

Stiller’s Soda comes in three flavors: Root Beer, Lemon Lime and the Shirley Temple.

Beyonce: SirDavis whisky

Whisky has been Beyoncé Knowles-Carter’s drink of choice for years. And so it’s no surprise she partnered with Moet Hennessy and master distiller Dr. Bill Lumsden to create her own spirit.

And there’s another personal connection: her paternal great-grandfather, Davis Hogue, had been a successful moonshiner in the American South during Prohibition.

SirDavis launched on Beyoncé’s birthday on September 4, 2024. Beyoncé lent her visionary artistic direction to the bottle’s tall, eye-catching design: which features a black medallion with a regal bronzed horse, emblematic of strength and respect and symbolizing her Texas roots.

In another nod to Beyoncé’s Southern heritage, the whisky is finished, blended and bottled in her home state of Texas.

Michael Jordan: Cincoro tequila

Michael Jordan launched his luxury tequila brand, Cincoro, in September 2019: alongside four other NBA team owners (Wes Edens, Jeanie Buss, Wyc Grousbeck and Emilia Fazzalari).

The five-sided bottle represents the five NBA power players.

Cincoro Tequila is made with 100% Blue Weber agave from private farms in the highland and lowland regions of Jalisco, Mexico. The agave is hand-selected and slow-cooked in a small batch process to create the brand’s signature taste profile.

James May: James Gin

British TV star James May, of Top Gear and The Grand Tour, created James Gin with master distiller Hugh Anderson in 2021: a partnership forged ‘over a love of gin and a mutual disdain for mediocrity’.

In April, James Gin launched a sweet, spicy parsnip gin: representative of the brand’s ethos to explore new flavors and ideas with the homely flavor of the most English of root vegetables with spices from India.

Jamie Foxx: BSB

Actor, musician and entrepreneur Jamie Foxx owns Brown Sugar Bourbon: an ultra-smooth, flavored whiskey with distinct notes of brown sugar and cinnamon.

The 60 proof whiskey is perfect for sipping, ideal for shooting and can serve as the main ingredient in cocktails.

With Foxx as the creative lead, the brand ‘sits at the intersection of fashion and sports, a modern tribute to nostalgic tech and delicious flavors’.
