THE BBC can immediately show highlights and clips of La Liga football online after securing rights to Spain’s top division.
An announcement confirms that BBC Sport’s various publishing channels can now broadcast action directly to fans.
A statement from director Alex Kay-Jelski said: “Following the announcement of our recent deal with the Bundesliga, we’re thrilled to now bring LALIGA clips to BBC Sport’s digital platforms.
“These additions strengthen our already extensive global football offering and allow us to showcase the stories, rivalries and standout talent from across Europe.
“As we look ahead to World Cup 2026, this puts us in a fantastic position to bring fans closer to the players and moments that matter – all in one place.”
The deal will continue until at least 2027 and means that the likes of Jude Bellingham, Lamine Yamal, and Kylian Mbappe will all be more visible via the BBC.
La Liga’s director of international relations, Keegan Pierce, said: “We are pleased to add BBC Sport to our roster of LALIGA clips partners in the United Kingdom.
“Partnering with such a trusted media brand helps us bring the artistry and spectacle of Spanish football to passionate audiences here in the birthplace of our sport.
“This collaboration marks yet another step in LALIGA’s strategy to deliver the very best moments from our clubs and players, week in, week out, via leading platforms around the world.”
The BBC also has rights for the next two World Cups, women’s World Cup in 2027, Olympic Games, Wimbledon, FA Cup, Women’s Super League, Euro 2028, Women’s Champions League, and Match of the Day highlights.

Sky previously had a 20-year relationship with La Liga which ended in 2018 as Eleven Sports took the rights.
