Barcelona midfielder Pedri will be sidelined for a month with a hamstring injury.
The 23-year-old sustained the issue during Wednesday’s Champions League 4-2 victory at Slavia Prague. He was substituted after 61 minutes of the game at the Fortuna Arena.
On Thursday, Barca confirmed the midfielder would be out of action for a month, due to the hamstring injury.

He could miss up to seven matches in that timeframe, with Hansi Flick’s side facing Oviedo, Elche, Mallorca, Girona and Levante in La Liga, along with a Champions League home game against Copenhagen and a Copa del Rey trip to second-division Albacete.
Pedri will hope to return for the home league game against Villarreal on March 1.
After feeling his hamstring in the second half, he dropped to the floor and put his hands on his head. He briefly spoke to Barcelona’s medical officials and then left the pitch to be replaced by Dani Olmo.
Pedri, a key player in Flick’s side, has made 24 appearances this season, scoring two goals and providing seven assists but recurring muscle injuries have been a backdrop of his career.
In the three seasons covering 2021-22 through to 2023-24, the Spain international missed 44 matches in La Liga due to unavailability.
He missed just over a month of action for club and country earlier this term due to a hamstring injury sustained in October. The midfielder also had to recover from a calf issue which forced him out of the victory at Villarreal on December 21.
Barca are without Gavi and Andreas Christensen due to long-term injuries, as well as forward Ferran Torres, who sustained a muscle injury during the 2-1 defeat to Real Sociedad on January 18.
Barcelona, a point ahead of Real Madrid at the top of La Liga, are next in action against Oviedo on Sunday.
