FX has released the official trailer for The Beauty, Ryan Murphy‘s sci-fi television show starring Ashton Kutcher.
The official logline reads, “The Beauty is a global thriller that asks: What would you sacrifice for perfection?”
Kutcher headlines the series as The Corporation, a mischievous tech billionaire who created “The Beauty,” a super drug that makes people beautiful but has deadly consequences. The ensemble cast includes Evan Peters, Anthony Ramos, Jeremy Pope, and Rebecca Hall.

What happens in The Beauty trailer?
“It’s an STD that people actually want,” Kutcher’s character says in the trailer. In The Beauty, one shot makes you hot. The globe-trotting adventure in the world of high fashion sees characters from far and wide attempting to secure the powerful drug, even if its side effects can cause death.
“FBI Agents Cooper Madsen (Peters) and Jordan Bennett (Hall) are sent to Paris to uncover the truth. As they delve deeper into the case, they uncover a sexually transmitted virus that transforms ordinary people into visions of physical perfection, but with terrifying consequences,” FX’s synopsis states. “Their path leads them directly into the crosshairs of The Corporation (Kutcher), a shadowy tech billionaire who has secretly engineered a miracle drug dubbed “The Beauty,” who will do anything to protect his trillion-dollar empire—including unleashing his lethal enforcer, The Assassin (Ramos). As the epidemic spreads, Jeremy (Pope), a desperate outsider, is caught in the chaos, searching for purpose as the agents race across Paris, Venice, Rome, and New York to stop a threat that could alter the future of humanity.”
The Beauty’s guest stars include Bella Hadid, Isabella Rossellini, Ben Platt, Jessica Alexander, and Vincent D’Onofrio.
Ryan Murphy and Matthew Hodgson wrote and created The Beauty, which is based on the comic book series by Jeremy Haun and Jason A. Hurley. Murphy and Hodgson are attached as executive producers along with Peters, Ramos, Pope, Haun, Eric Kovtun, Scott Robertson, Nissa Diederich, Michael Uppendahl, Alexis Martin Woodall, Eric Gitter, and Peter Schwerin.
The Beauty premieres on January 21 on FX, Hulu, and Hulu on Disney+.
