Season 3 of the highly successful series, Shrinking, is arriving on Apple TV this month. The show debuted on the streaming platform in January 2023 and went on to become one of the most highly rated shows on it. Shrinking features a talented cast that includes renowned names such as Harrison Ford, Jason Segel, and Jessica Williams, among others.
Shrinking Season 3 to hit Apple TV later this month
Season 3 of Shrinking is set to arrive on Apple TV+ on January 28, 2026.
Created by Bill Lawrence, Brett Goldstein, and Jason Segel, the trailer for Season 3 was released in December 2025 and will have Back to the Future star Michael J. Fox in a guest role.
While speaking to People in 2024, co-creator Bill Lawrence shared how Fox inspired Parkinson’s depiction in the show. He labeled the veteran actor his mentor and stated that it felt good to write about things he cares about. Lawrence added, “We wanted to represent it in hopefully an inspiring and not sad or tragic way.”
In December 2024, Lawrence also shared insights regarding what fans can expect from Season 3. He told Deadline that the show will center around moving on as the “first year is about grief, the second year was about forgiveness.”
Additionally, Bill Lawrence had a chat with Variety the same month. He stated, “I’m allowed to say our words for Season 3 are ‘moving forward.’ So that’s all we really know so far.”
Notably, the Emmy-nominated show has been dominating Apple TV+ with record-breaking ratings for both seasons. While Season 1 of Shrinking has a Tomatometer score of 91 percent on Rotten Tomatoes, Season 2 went on to secure a score of 97 percent. Thus, there is a high chance that Season 3 might debut with the same level of ratings.
