Anna Camp is making things official with her authentic self.
The “Pitch Perfect” alum, who went public with girlfriend Jade Whipkey last year, came out as bisexual in an interview on the “I’ve Never Said This Before with Tommy DiDario” podcast, released Monday, March 9.
“As a 43-year-old woman, I’m very proud of myself for owning my sexuality at this age,” Camp told host Tommy DiDario. “I’m a very strong person for doing it in somewhat of a spotlight with people criticizing and judging and making assumptions. I’m really proud to be bisexual.”
Camp, who was previously married to actors Michael Mosley and Skylar Astin, sparked dating rumors with Whipkey in May when the pair was spotted engaging in some PDA during an outing in Los Angeles. The following month, Camp and Whipkey made their red-carpet debut at the premiere of Camp’s film “Bride Hard.”
“Sure, there are times that I feel like I’m taking a risk and this is scary, and I’m doing it in a public forum,” Camp continued on “I’ve Never Said This Before.”
“But to say, ‘No, I only get one life, and I want to be happy, and I want to learn the most about myself that I can.’ That’s what life is all about.”
Shortly after going public with Whipkey, Camp told Cosmopolitan in June that the couple was “a bit surprised by all of the hubbub” surrounding their relationship, adding: “There’s been a lot of support, so we’re very grateful and thankful for everybody who is supportive of us.”

Despite the ups and downs of rediscovering herself, the “Scream 7” star said she’s embraced the “major evolution” she’s had in her 40s.
“You think you’ve got this idea of who you are and that’s how your life is going to go,” Camp told DiDario on “I’ve Never Said This Before.” “And that’s happened to me several times in my life, where I thought that I knew what was happening. And it could have stopped in that way. I could have settled. I could have said, ‘No, I’m done evolving.'”
