Andrew Tate posts racist and anti-western messages during Hong Kong visit (with video)

Influencer Andrew Tate, a prominent figure in the so-called “manosphere,” shared racist and anti-western messages during a stay in Hong Kong, following the lifting of travel restrictions imposed on him in Romania.

Images shared on social media by accounts linked to brothers Andrew and Tristan Tate show them staying at a luxury hotel in the former British colony, accompanied by young followers while creating content for digital platforms. The images also show crowds of admirers in the streets and nightclubs asking for photographs and applauding them, illustrating their continued support base despite the brothers’ ongoing legal situation.

In messages posted over the weekend, Andrew Tate presented himself as “the most authentic” figure within the manosphere and justified his presence in China with a speech challenging his critics. The manosphere is a collection of internet portals, blogs and forums linked to the far right and conspiracy theories that promote misogyny and opposition to feminism.

Tate attacked “everyone in power,” accusing them without evidence of “stealing from the people” and maintaining a “fraudulent global economy,” and encouraged followers to support a “world revolution” against elites. He cited the case of Ukraine and claimed, without evidence, that relatives of Ukrainian leaders profited from businesses related to the war against Russia’s invasion — a criticism the former kickboxer framed within a broader assertion that “conflicts only enrich those at the top.”

Tate also claimed that “white people are suffering and being decimated” and need to “pay all the taxes to fund systems that replace them” — a reference to the “great replacement” conspiracy theory. Amid the current conflict caused by US and Israeli strikes against Iran, the influencer said that while western men are sent to fight in the Middle East, “invaders are welcomed and given residency permits.”

The Tate brothers have been under criminal investigation in Romania since 2022, accused of forming an organised criminal group to exploit women in the adult entertainment industry — charges both deny. Andrew Tate also faces rape charges and alleged abuse of a 15-year-old girl, while Romanian authorities examine possible illicit profits. In May, Romanian courts approved the extradition of both brothers to the United Kingdom, to take place after the conclusion of proceedings in Romania.

According to a New York Times investigation, the lifting of the travel ban came after pressure from US right-wing figures close to president Donald Trump.
