Adidas concerned after woman complains fitting room opened twice at Mong Kok shop

Adidas has expressed concern over a woman’s complaint about a staff member and other customers opening the curtain of a fitting room at a Hong Kong branch on two occasions while she was inside, saying it would review its facilities and store operations.

The German sportswear giant issued a response on Sunday, four days after the woman took to social media to complain. The company wrote in an online post that its Hong Kong branch was “concerned” about the alleged incident.

“We are concerned about the incident that took place at the Langham Place store earlier and are fully cooperating with police’s investigation,” a spokesman wrote on Instagram.

“Adidas has always prioritised customer experience and privacy safety while shopping.”

The woman posted on Threads last Wednesday, complaining that the curtain of her fitting room was opened twice without her consent at the company’s Mong Kok branch.

The customer, who wrote under the username “langham_adidas_cls”, said the first time had involved two other customers pulling back the curtains while she was trying on clothes.

“I was taken aback, walked out, looked at them and asked them what they wanted,” she wrote.
