The upcoming episode will pick up from where the previous one left off. A teaser trailer for A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms, Season 1 Episode 4, was recently released, teasing what viewers can expect. It begins with a frustrated Dunk pointing out to his Squire, Egg, about how the latter lied about his identity as Aegon Targaryen and his background in the previous episode.
The footage cuts to Dunk and Egg standing before the latter’s brother, Aerion, and the other Targaryens. Baelor points out that Aerion wants to kill Dunk in retaliation for attacking him in the previous episode after the former broke puppeteer Tanselle’s fingers out of contempt for her performance, which showed a dragon getting killed.
Aerion then demands that Dunk participate in a Trial of Seven. When one of the Targaryens asks what a Trial of Seven is, Baelor states that Dunk must find six other knights to fight alongside him.
The clip cuts to Raymun Fossoway, Steffon’s cousin and Squire, who advises Dunk to run. The latter points out that if he runs, he will be killed, to which Fossoway notes that he would be killed regardless.
The footage then concludes with an armored Dunk reaching a battle arena on his horse. He shouts, “Who will stand tall and fight with me? Has courage deserted the noble houses of Westeros? Are there no true knights among you?!”
