Avengers: Doomsday might deliver a better iconic moment than Endgame. Such a possibility has been teased by none other than the new Captain America Anthony Mackie himself.
During an interaction with Entertainment Tonight, Mackie was asked about recreating the iconic “On your left” scene in the upcoming Avengers movie. The actor who formerly played Falcon in the MCU had a surprising reply. He teased that there might be an even better dialogue that would overshadow the one in Endgame.
The 47-year-old said, “Well, you know, I mean, that was that was our first movie. So, now we have we finished it with um Endgame. So, now we have new and more interesting lines coming.”
Can Avengers: Doomsday create the MCU’s next iconic quote?
Surely, the aforementioned scene is one of the most iconic moments in the MCU. During the final battle with Thanos, Captain America, Thor, Hulk, Iron Man, and others seemed bruised and battered. With the entire army of Thanos coming at Steve Rogers, Falcon’s words, “On your left,” sputtered through Cap’s earpiece.
This was enough to drive the crowd in the theaters crazy. Falcon was among the ones snapped by Thanos, and the reverse-snap by the Avengers worked, and everybody came back. This scene was followed by an epic battle, which marked the peak of Marvel’s storytelling and cinematic excellence.

Avengers: Doomsday has all the elements that can replicate Endgame’s hype. In fact, Doomsday will see Chris Evans and Robert Downey Jr. returning. Going up against the menacing threat of Doctor Doom, there’s no telling that the Earth’s mightiest heroes will have a tough time thwarting the danger. With such an expansive storyline, Mackie’s prediction might come true about the movie giving fans yet another iconic cinematic experience.
Avengers: Doomsday is scheduled for a December 18, 2026 release.
