Updated B/R Football’s 2026 Summer Transfer Big Board

Frontrunners: Real Madrid

Dark horses: Manchester City

According to transfer insider , Enzo Fernández “has made no secret of wanting to leave Chelsea.”

We’ve already seen midfielders Elliot Anderson, Sandro Tonali and Matheus Fernandes move for huge fees this summer. By comparison, Fernandez may actually be decent value for money, even at the $161 million Chelsea are demanding, according to the .

Despite all being fine players, Fernandez possesses similar all-round ability to the aforementioned trio but has recorded far more impressive attacking numbers.

His 27 goal involvements over the previous two Premier League seasons are considerably more than either Anderson (16), Tonali (eight), or Fernandes (13) have managed in the same time span. And while he has been prioritized as a penalty area threat at Chelsea, he’s shown playmaking chops from a deeper role previously in his career.

That sort of versatility would be incredibly valuable for any elite team, including Chelsea, should they manage to keep him. The price tag could take him out of range for many, but with transfer fees only likely to rise higher in the coming years, clubs may be better off taking the hit now to secure the 25-year-old.
