Nitesh Tiwari’s Ramayana has officially released its first full trailer, unveiling the film’s central story and principal characters ahead of its theatrical debut. The newly released footage features Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Ram, Yash as Ravana, and Sai Pallavi as Sita, while recreating several key moments from Valmiki’s epic. After months of anticipation, the trailer provides the first detailed look at the film’s story and large-scale action scenes.
New trailer for Ranbir Kapoor’s Ramayana finally released
The makers of Ramayana have released a new full-length trailer, providing a clearer look at Nitesh Tiwari’s adaptation of the Indian epic. After months of limited material, the latest preview expands on the film’s story, introduces several of its main characters, and offers a better look at the conflict that will unfold across the two-part story.
The trailer opens with Yash’s Ravana, highlighting his rise to power, before shifting to Ranbir Kapoor’s Lord Ram. It then traces several key developments from the epic, beginning with Ram’s life in Ayodhya and continuing through Sita’s swayamvar and Kaikeyi’s demand that sends him into exile.
Ram’s years in exile alongside Sita and Lakshman also feature prominently in the trailer. The clip then turns to Lakshman’s clash with Surpanakha, Sita’s kidnapping, and the events that lead to the war. It concludes with glimpses of the large-scale battles.
Directed by Nitesh Tiwari, Ramayana is a cinematic adaptation of Valmiki’s epic poem. Ranbir Kapoor stars as Lord Ram, Sai Pallavi as Sita, and Yash as Ravana. The supporting cast includes Sunny Deol as Hanuman, Ravie Dubey as Lakshman, Kajal Aggarwal as Mandodari, and Lara Dutta as Kaikeyi, among others.
Shot for IMAX, this two-part project begins with Ramayana: Part 1, releasing worldwide in Diwali 2026. Part 2 will follow in Diwali 2027.
