Being a fan is basically just building a version of a celebrity in your head and hoping they don’t ruin it. Between the interviews, the roles they choose, the songs they write, the causes they “support” online, and the image they spent years selling, celebrities can make you feel like you know them — until they do something that leaves you wondering if you were living in delusion the whole time. So, we want to know: Which celebrity’s conservative or Republican ties caught you completely off guard?
Maybe it was a celebrity with a very progressive, online, or left-leaning fanbase who suddenly got photographed with someone whose politics made the internet do a collective double-take.

Perhaps it was an actor, musician, athlete, or comedian who went on a podcast or gave an interview with a notorious Trump supporter…

Or maybe it was something quieter — a donation record, endorsement, fundraiser, billionaire dinner, liked post, or repeated public association that made their whole “good guy” image feel a lot less believable.
