How Jennifer Lawrence figured out the Summer House reunion leak
Andy Cohen recently revealed that Hollywood veteran Jennifer Lawrence was instrumental in finding out the culprit behind the leaked reunion audio from Summer House, which made a huge splash online.
“There’s been a lot of speculation about who that super fan was, including the wild theory that it was actress Jennifer Lawrence,” Andy Cohen said on Tuesday’s episode of Watch What Happens Live. “I wanted to personally thank that super fan. Folks, that super fan was indeed Jennifer Lawrence. … Her online sleuthing helped our team solve this mystery.”
Lawrence, a longtime Bravo fan, has made several appearances on WWHL to discuss Bravo shows like Housewives, Summer House, and Vanderpump Rules.
The leak was the first of its kind to hit the network, and the mystery surrounding it, including who helped find the culprit, lasted for a long time.
The clip featured a heated back-and-forth between various cast members and the newly public Amanda Batula and West Wilson.
After Bravo found out who leaked the audio, they released a statement but did not name Lawrence in it. “An investigation into the recent leak of the Summer House reunion audio has concluded that the audio was an unauthorized recording and distributed by an individual involved in the production of the reunion,” they wrote in a statement shared on Instagram. “As a result of the findings, appropriate action has been taken. There is no evidence that any member of the cast was involved in the recording of the audio,” the statement further added.
Summer House Reunion Part 3 aired Tuesday at 8 p.m. ET/PT.
