Horror fans will soon find a new reason to be scared after the latest announcement from the creators of The Blair Witch Project. They are set to bring a new terrifying movie, titled Experiment 11, helmed by Scare Tactics creator Kevin Healey.
What do we know about the new horror movie from The Blair Witch Project creators?
According to Deadline, Experiment 11 is based on the original script written by director Healey himself. He is also a producer on the movie alongside Eric Birnberg, Thomas Walden, Thomas Vencelides, and Lainie Elton. The Blair Witch Project creators Eduardo Sanchez and Gregg Hale are the executive producers alongside Corey Tindall, Carson Howell, and Anthony Standberry.
Experiment 11 will be set inside a mysterious medical research facility where a group of participants is forced into a quickly escalating experiment with fatal consequences attached to the future of humanity.
Speaking about the movie, Healey said, “I’ve spent much of my career exploring the intersection of horror, realism, and social experimentation, so Experiment 11 feels like the culmination of everything I love creatively.”
“To now be collaborating with Eduardo Sanchez and Gregg Hale — whose work on The Blair Witch Project fundamentally changed immersive horror for an entire generation — is surreal for me personally,” he added.
Healey describes the movie as “ambitious, experimental, psychologically intense”. He believes it will blur the line between “cinematic storytelling and reality in a way audiences haven’t experienced before.”
Prestige International Pictures will launch sales for the film at the 2026 Cannes Market. Experiment 11 is yet to receive an official release date window.
