Affairs, Engagements, Illness, & Michael Jackson’s Ghost Haunts us All

Another week and Hollywood hasn’t let us down! A raft of news exploded out of LaLa Land with rumored engagements, affairs, and celebrities doing the bare minimum for massive paychecks. I’m trying not to hate them for that, as let’s be honest: wouldn’t we all like to pull a modern-day Linda Evangelista? Except these days, anyone rolls out of bed for $10,000. Real celebs don’t get out of bed for less than $10 million.

Just ask Justin Bieber.

Our Canadian camper van hero underwhelmed fans at Coachella when he rocked up on stage looking like he’d just gotten out of bed, sat down, “sang” and fooled around on his iPhone. Good gig if you can get it, I say.

His two sets included a handful of songs from his 2025 albums “SWAG” and “SWAG II” before going back to his fan favorites – for which I am told, the crowd was grateful. He dedicated songs to his wife, Hailey Bieber, and their son Jack Blues (side note: I hate that name). It was kind of sweet.

Are congratulations in order? Another couple taking it quickly to the next level is Harry Styles and Zoe Kravitz, who are said to be engaged after just eight months of dating. Zoe has a three-year pattern with men (her relationships with Channing Tatum, her ex-husband Karl Glusman, and Penn Badgley all lasted exactly that long), so Styles has at least two years and four months left! Good luck, you crazy kids!

Love was also in the air across the country – sadly, this love was supposed to be kept a secret. Athletic reporter, Dianna Russini, and New England Patriots coach, Mike Vrabel, were publicly exposed after Page Six printed some seriously cozy pics of the couple canoodling in a boutique, romantic hotel in Sedona, Arizona.

Now, just because those two crazy kids were hanging out at a sexy spa and photographed holding hands and hugging doesn’t mean anything, right? RIGHT???

The two insisted they were joined by friends on the trip and at the resort, and after all, who are you gonna believe? Photos or your lying eyes?

At least that’s what the two, who are inconveniently married to other people, tried to say.

A week later, Russini resigned, and Vrabel tried to stay his ground… until more photos emerged on Page Six and TMZ showing them kissing, canoodling, and hanging out solo throughout the years, dating as far back as 2020 – one year after Vrabel married Jen Vrabel and the same year Russini married Kevin Goldschmidt.

Oops.

Vrabel finally spoke to reporters about the “personal and private matter,” claiming he was seeking counseling and that he now wants to spend time with his (actual) family. Sounds like a fun time to be had at the old Vrabel homestead!

Blake Lively’s legal battle against “It Ends With Us” director Justin Baldoni isn’t over, but according to one Hollywood veteran, her reputation is.

Fran Weinstein, a director at “Entertainment Tonight” and “The Insider” for over three decades and author of the upcoming memoir “Tortured Souls,” confirmed my scoop last year, that no one in Hollywood wants to go anywhere near Lively. Gee, I wonder why?

Meanwhile, it looks like Barry Manilow made it… through lung cancer surgery. The legendary crooner popped up in New York after his latest hospital stint – he was in and out of the ER this winter for bronchitis and pneumonia before doctors found the cancer in his lungs – showing us that yes, indeed, he still has the stamina of a small workhorse.

He also has a new album dropping this summer and swears he will tour; however, despite what he says, I’m hearing from his friends that he was told at some point this year by doctors that he may never sing again. But I will place my faith in Barry and buy tickets to any show he sells. MANDY FOREVER!

And finally, welcome to the Great Uncanceling.

Despite four out of the five Cascio siblings — Aldo, Eddie, Dominic, and Marie Nicole — telling the New York Times, once again, that Michael Jackson allegedly sexually abused them in childhood and “groomed them to be his soldiers” to defend him from other molestation allegations, his biopic is set to make $150 million this weekend. Even though reviewers trashed it.

As I wrote in the Times of London, “Once, ‘cancel culture’ could scupper a career; now it seems stars are re-emerging from the woodwork for a second helping of adoration.

Or in this case, Jackson’s ghost.

Yay?

Okay, that’s all for this week. Don’t worry, just as we can all rely on the sun setting in the evening and rising in the morning, so can we also rest assured that celebs: They just can’t help themselves when it comes to bad behavior!

See you next week!
