Why Days of Our Lives Fans Think Johnny’s Life Is in Danger

From weddings getting interrupted to presumed-dead characters returning, Days of Our Lives has never shies away from high stakes. Right now, that uneasy energy is swirling around one name in particular, and the fan base is paying close attention. The latest developments in the beloved soap opera have left longtime DOOL viewers fearing that Johnny is in danger.

Will Johnny die in Days of Our Lives?

As dark clouds gather over the DiMera family, a chilling question haunts fans: Is Johnny about to meet his end on Days of Our Lives?

As for what led to that opinion, Kristen finally gave viewers a thumbnail sketch of her revenge plan against EJ on Wednesday’s episode. It’s just about as bad as anyone could have imagined.

At first, it appeared the DOOL schemer was just trying to put the fear of DiMera into Sophia when she teased the possibility of murder. However, now it looks like she’s dead set on making Johnny her actual target.

Kristen wants Sophia to help her murder Johnny. Her goal is to take EJ’s son away as she sees it as payback for him taking her daughter.

Ordinarily, fans would not be overly concerned about the possibility of a major character, particularly a legacy character such as Johnny, being killed. However, the current circumstances are unusual. Viewers are aware that Carson Boatman was one of four actors released at the beginning of the year. As is customary in daytime drama, one method of writing out characters is through death.

With that said, Boatman was released in January. That means Johnny will not leave the show until near the end of the year. However, this does not mean he cannot die beforehand and EJ’s project makes that possible. He and Dr. Rolf have already resurrected Lexie, thereby proving the efficacy of their treatment. Even if Lexie’s return ultimately fails, Johnny could be revived the same way.

Hence, there appears to be a strong possibility that he will end up dead. Kristen’s claim that Sophia will “get away with murder” implies that the manipulative vamp will take the blame instead.
