Multiple homes at the Jersey Shore were set ablaze in an early-morning fire Saturday, according to officials.
The three-alarm fire engulfed several structures on Sheridan Avenue in Seaside Heights, officials said.
Seaside Heights Police Chief Thomas Boyd said four cars were damaged in the fire. Fire Chief Tim Farrell said three of the cars were destroyed and one had minor damages.
The Seaside Park Fire Company were one of a few fire departments assisted, responding at around 3:30 a.m., according to a social media post.
Some of the responding crews included the Lavallette Fire Department, Toms River Fire Department, Point Pleasant Beach Fire Department and the Manitou Fire Department, according to a press release.
The first crew to arrive said the incident was rapidly escalating, prompting an immediate upgrade to a third alarm, fire officials said.

All residents were safely evacuated and accounted for, authorities said.
The fire crews remained on the scene for around three hours to combat the heavy fire conditions, officials said.
No injuries were reported and the fire is under investigation by the state and Ocean County Fire Marshalls.
