Despite the leftover snow piles scattered across Connecticut, Monday will bring the look and feel of a gorgeous early-spring day, with bright sunshine and temperatures rising into the 60s.

After starting the day in the 30s in many inland towns, a mild breeze from the southwest will usher in this above-normal warmth.
The warmest temperatures in the state will likely be found inland, away from the cooler sea breeze along the immediate shoreline. That wind off the water will keep coastal towns a few degrees cooler, in the mid 50s.
Another warm day is on tap for Tuesday. Snow will continue to melt as temperatures soar into the 60s for many inland locations in Connecticut.
Once again, the shoreline will be a few degrees cooler than inland areas during the afternoon. Anyone who has spent time along the shore on spring and early summer days is probably quite familiar with the cooling effects of a sea breeze.
Rain returns to the forecast on Wednesday, likely keeping temperatures in the 50s due to cloudy skies and wet weather.
Lingering showers from a cold front on Thursday will bring a temporary break from milder temperatures, although we won’t be plunging back into an arctic chill anytime soon.

Inland (including Danbury, Waterbury, Greater Hartford, Windham): Mostly sunny and warm. Highs: 58-63.
Litchfield Hills (including Torrington, Litchfield, Winchester): Sunny and milder. Highs: 55-61.
